History of Grisanti's
 | …And What a History it Has Been!
Grisanti’s
Casual Italian Restaurants, originally located in Louisville, Kentucky,
now consists of two restaurants operating in Lincoln, Nebraska and
Omaha, Nebraska.
The
concept evolved from one casual family style restaurant in Louisville
known as Mamma Grisanti’s. Opened in 1976, Mamma’s has been voted
“Best Italian Restaurant” in Louisville Magazine numerous times. Our
continuous standards of hospitality and fresh, made-from-scratch food
clearly trace our roots to Mamma’s great reputation. |
We opened our second location in Bloomington, Indiana in 1983.
This restaurant was the first of many that would grow into the Grisanti’s Casual Italian concept. In 1984, we joined forces with Imasco,
a multi-billion dollar Canadian conglomerate, thus gaining capital to
fuel our expansion.
Over the next four years, we grew substantially to
become a nationwide chain and gained widespread recognition for
authentic Italian cooking and unsurpassed HOSPITALITY. | |
 | And the tradition continues...
In
1989, Michael Grisanti, one of the original family members, repurchased
Grisanti’s from Imasco, making us once again a family-owned business
with a passion for high quality, fresh ingredients, homemade soups, and
delicious sauces.
Our unique combination of old family and innovative
new recipes proves our undeniable commitment to exceed our guests’ expectations. |
